General Villanueva participated in the three-day Battle of Dalahican also known as the Battle of Calero on November 9-11, 1896.
General Ariston Villanueva is the son of Salustiano Villanueva and Alea Valerio; bborn on March 2, 1851 (other source say he was born on 1846) in the humble town of Noveleta, He was the cousin of General Emilio Aguinaldo. Villanueva rested in peace on March 03, 1918 at Tanza Catholic Cemetary.
