6.6 Magnitude Quake in Batangas wakes sleeping Noveleteños

 A 6.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded last early morning at 4:58am Saturday, July 24, 2021 that wakes all Noveleteños from their quiet sleep. The shakes shocks and rocks every houses in Noveleta that last about an estimated time of 30 seconds. A second quake shook happen afterwards.

Philvocs said only the 5.5 magnitude tremor at 4:57am was felt. Science and technology Undersecretary and Philvocs OIC Dr. Renato Solidum Jr. pointed out that the 6.6 magnitude earthquake was not connected to the Taal Volcano's activity and the earthquake was caused by the movement along the Manila Trench.

Despite of the non-stop rain that causes flood to the streets of Noveleta, simultaneously an earthquake was felt causing lives to change, the Office of the Mayor headed by Hon. Dino Chua is monitoring the rise of Ilang-ilang River and any other odds  24/7. 

All LGU's from each barangay are on alert as they aide numerous evacuees that fled from their  broken and unsafe homes.
