Atheneum seeks to harmonize information and values formation in order to nurture a community of learners who are articulate, critical, creative, innovative, productive, responsible, self-directed, socially sensitive and caring.
Mission
Guided by this vision, we are committed to provide quality education by employing traditional teaching methods as well as progressive techniques. We don;t merely teach what is, who is, when or where, but more importantly, we ask why and how.
MANAGEMENT:
Atheneum is managed by Atheneum Educators, Inc., a non-stock corporation founded by reputable educators from the University of the Philippines, Ateneo and De La Salle. Being non-stock, Atheneum is prohibited by the law to distribute dividends to its incorporators, trustees or officers. Thus whatever net income is realized, will be used to sustain and continuously upgrade the Atheneum in terms of faculty and facilities.
REYNALDO C. LASERNA
(AB, BSBA, MBA, LLB.)
He was a classroom professional lecturer for ten (10) years at the U.P. and the Lyceum. He was Chief Legal Counsel of Metrobank and the Philippine National Oil Co. He was Vice-President and Board Director of Petron Corporation, Bataan Refinery and many other strategic corporations in the country. He is an alumnus of the U.P. and the Ateneo.
ADELAIDA A. LASERNA
(AB, MA.)
She was consistently Number One in her class from grade one to College. As an American Field Service Scholar, she studied for one year in Florence, Oregon, then toured the whole U.S.A.. She started her teaching career at O.B. Montessori, the original Montessori School in the Philippines. She was at De La Salle Alabang for ten years and was teh Head of its Pre School (Junior and Senior Kinder)
DIANA ADDA LASERNA

She is a cum laude graduate of Ateneo de Manila University and was the lead actress, during her time, of Tanghalang Ateneo. She now teaches college English at the Ateneo and high school English at the ATHENEUM.
Advantage:
The thrust of ATHENEUM is to always provide its pupils and students an advantage over their counter-parts in other schools. This is done by a system of advanced lessons from level to level.
The ATHENEUM advantage is demonstrated in many ways such as advanced placements in US and Canadian schools where Amcanians are placed one level higher than the norm. For example, a pupil who completed his Grade 2 at the ATHENEUM was placed at Grade 4 in the USA, thereby bypassing one level (Grade 3). Similar cases were reported by grateful parents in Canada and elsewhere.
Eight out of Ten Amcanians are accepted either by UP, Ateneo, or La Salle where the national admission ratio is one of ten applicants.
