Mayor isabel Alvarez also known as “Mayor Chabeng” is a Chinese Mestiza. Her Grand Father is a Pure Chinese (originally surnamed TAN) who just adopted the surname Alvarez when she was baptised as “Catholic” during the Spansih Regime.
Mayor Chabeng was the next mayor elected after the term of Mayor Librado Reyes, one of her greatest contribution to Noveleta was the cementing of Noveleta roads; before all roads in Noveleta was only asphalt coated. Thru her effort a traffic light was place at the center intersection of barangay Poblacion that automates the flow of traffic on the busiest inter-section of the town, In addition to that mercury bulbs was placed on every MERALCO posts along Manila-Cavite Road, build the Municipal building of Noveleta, a decent stage in front of the old Noveleta Municipal Trial Court, Noveleta Arc and so much more...
